Sometimes cookie records can prove dangerous, and even before making online bank transactions it is advisable to clear browser cache every time, for security reasons. AbsoluteShield Track Eraser is one efficient application that protects the privacy of the user by cleaning up all the tracks of Internet activities.
It comes integrated with IE thereby possessing the capabilities of erasing the browser cache, cookies, history, typed URLs, saved passwords, auto-complete lists and much more in mere click of a button. The latest version even automatically erases all the track records every time the user quits IE or Windows, and also comes with a feature of erasing free disk space on the hard disk.
There are well over 30 plug-ins available for the application, which supports the most popular programs like RealPlayer, MS Office, WinZip, Media Player, UltraEdit and many more
The key features include support to all popular browsers like FireFox, IE, Netscape, MSN, AOL and Opera, provision to remove IE visit history, IE cookies, cache files, typed URLs, saved user name and password by IE, the index.dat used by IE and even the Windows start menu, recent documents list, recycle bin, network neighborhood cache, as well as the Windows temp folder. Redundant. This isn't even the latest version (4.11) and, crucially, AbsoluteShield does not work with Edge, Chrome or any other modern browsers apart from Firefox. It will however still accept payment if you register the software. AbsoluteShield should be consigned to history as there are much more recent packages available that are maintained and updated, many of which are free to home users.
